Yes, the verismo machines and pods are now discontinued by Starbucks as of 2020.

What can I use instead of Verismo pods?

You can go with K-Fee Mr and Mrs Mill Verismo compatible coffee pods. They are more affordable and are made K-Fee the manufacturer that made the proprietary pods for the Verismo model. In my opinion, this is the best alternative out there. Some people also had some luck with the pods from Coffee bean and Tea leaf.

Do Nespresso pods fit in Verismo?

Verismo pod is stuck in the machine First, unplug the machine. Then take out and empty the used pod bin (a full pod bin can sometimes cause this) then try closing the handle once again. If the pod is stuck in the pod opening, try pulling it or losing it out with light pressure.

Which is better the verismo or the first generation?

This machine is far better than the first generation Verismo which I used for about 5 years. The materials are of much better quality. The controls are also much better…offering more control over the machine. The machine is especially quiet. I love that.
