When should I contact Macmillan?

If you would like to speak to someone, call us free* on 0808 808 00 00 (7 days a week, 8am-8pm). Unfortunately we are unable to reply to questions about cancer care outside the United Kingdom.

Can you get extra money if you have cancer?

You may qualify for government benefits if you have cancer or care for someone with cancer. If you have a disability or your cancer is advanced, you might also qualify for certain benefits. Help is available for bills and housing costs, as well as for children’s costs and other health expenses.

British Gas works specifically with Clic Sargent advisers which specialises in help for cancer patients under 25 years old. There are several providers which have charity funds you can apply for help with household bills.
