How can I get Diretide?
Throughout the Diretide season players can earn Diretide Points by playing both regular Dota 2 matches, and the Diretide game mode. Every 100 points will earn you one of Roshan’s Rewards.
What can we get from Diretide?
You also get Diretide Points from regular Dota games, too. You get a reward for every 100 Diretide Points you earn, which could be an equipment set, spray, emoticon, treasure, cosmetic item, chat wheel sounds, or MMR double down token – there’s a full list of rewards on the wiki.
How long will Diretide last?
This year, Dota 2 Diretide 2020 event will be running till December 22. This means that the developers team may plan to cancel Frostivus, Dota 2’s Christmas event. In Diretide, all the costumes and skins are based on a Halloween theme and some of the heroes look magnificent.
How do you get a Diretide chest?
Players can earn The Hallowed Chest of the Diretide by playing games, but these chests can only be unlocked by keys purchased with real money. A further 60 or so items are available through these chests.
How does a Diretide work?
The Diretide event sees players battling to fill cauldrons full of candy. When one team wins the candy phase, it’s eaten by Roshan, Dota 2’s vast boss monster. If you then kill him, in his post candy state, he’ll drop a prize. The fastest teams in a roughly two day cycle to kill Roshan earn the golden couriers.
Will there be Frostivus 2020?
Dota 2 is the exception as there is still no news of a Frostivus in 2020 but considering Diretide is set to end on December 21 that might still change.
How long does Diretide take?
There are a total of five rounds with each round lasting for 6 minutes each. The team with the higher taffy count at the end of each round wins it. The first team to win three rounds wins the game.
