Can we renew road tax at JPJ?
We are pleased to announce that effective 6 September 2021, customers will be able to walk-in to any of our post offices nationwide to renew their Lesen Kenderaan Motor (road tax) and Lesen Memandu Malaysia (driving licence).
Can MYEG renew driving license?
On the 9th of October 2020, JPJ announced that driver’s licenses can be renewed online via MyEG’s website! Click on the “Renewing Driving License” button. Then, fill in all the required information and select your payment method. Before confirming your payment, make sure all the information provided is correct.
Can I renew expired road tax?
It means that you can proceed to renew as usual if your road tax has expired for not more than not 3 years.

What documents do I need to renew road tax at post office?
Yes- though you’ll need your DVLA reminder (V11) or your Registration Certificate (V5C) plus a valid MOT, a (V62) is also available at any Post Office that deals with vehicle tax. Find a local branch that can sort out vehicle tax with our Branch Finder.
Can I renew my road tax at MCO?
Fret not! JPJ has announced some wiggle room for driving licence, road tax (LKM) or vocational license (PSV/GDL) expiring during this MCO. These documents can be renewed within 30 days after the MCO is lifted.
What is the earliest I can renew my driver license?
The renewal period for driver’s licenses varies by state. It can range from three months to as much as a year before the expiration date, and up to two years after the expiration date. There are usually no restrictions on renewing early unless you are under the age of 21.
Is there a grace period for expired road tax?
There are no longer any grace periods for car tax.
Can you renew road tax without inspection?
Yes. Usually, you have to get your vehicle inspected before you can renew your road tax. A message to inform you of the inspection requirement will also be printed on the road tax payment notice sent to you about 1 month before the road tax expiry date.
Is JPJ open during MCO?
JPJ kiosks, however, will be open during the FMCO. The kiosks within JPJ premises will be open from 8.30 am to 4 pm, while kiosks located outside of JPJ premises will operate from 6 am to 8 pm.
What must you have when renewing vehicle tax?
Explanation: You can renew your vehicle tax online, at post offices and vehicle registration offices, or by phone. When applying, make sure you have all the relevant valid documents, including a valid MOT test certificate where applicable.
