How do I start the silus Vesuius quest?
To start the mission of aquiring Mehrunes’ Razor, you need to go speak with a member of the Mythic Dawn, named Silus Vesuius. There is a mythic dawn museum in Dawnstar and he will be standing outside in front of the museum. Go and talk to him and then he will instruct you to find the pieces of the razor.
Can I still get mehrunes razor?
1 Answer. As far as I know there’s no way to go back on your decision to spare Silus and get the Razor instead. If you’re playing on PC, however, you can just give yourself the Razor with the console command player.
Can I save silus?
Try using a pacify spell. This means they will not attack for a while, making it easier to draw attention to yourself and save Silus. I think dremora are not immune to poisons. So hitting both of them with a paralize poison should freeze them and allow you to kill them without them hitting Silus.

To start the quest, the Dragonborn must be at least level 20 and get an invitation to Silus’ Mythic Dawn Museum in Dawnstar. The invitation can be received by either waiting until he appears, or fast traveling to any major area (village, town, city, etc.) where eventually a Courier will approach.
