When should I start applying for teaching jobs?
Job openings may be posted as early as late February for teaching positions for the following school year. Typically though, most openings will be made public in March and April.
How do I stand out when applying for a teaching job?
Be sure to do the obvious… create a resume, write a basic cover letter that you can easily tweak as you apply to schools, type up your references with all of their info in one place, get your letters of recommendations together. If you don’t have letters of recommendation, be sure to ask for them now!
