What happened to Gattitown?
Monday, the owners of Gatti Town in Ridgeland announced they are shutting their doors Tuesday. The business has operated for four years at their Lake Harbour Drive location, offering a pasta and pizza buffet and arcade. Manager Virgil Salvo says the bad economy caused a lack of business for the eatery.

Established in Austin in 1969, Mr. Gatti’s was started by James Eure. According to their website, Eure created the restaurant as a “tribute” to his father-in-law. But, it wasn’t until 1983 that Gatti Town— a 25, 000 square foot superstore with 10, 000 square feet for a “colossal Midway-type game room” was built.
