In cases where a book sells primarily in normal retail outlets, the report may be closer to 100 percent accurate. All this means that we have weekly access to honest sales figures that can’t be altered by agents, publishers, or authors themselves.

How often does BookScan update?

BookScan information is updated into iQ weekly. The previous week’s data is typically available by Thursday morning barring any delays in the NPD BookScan feed. Books-A-Million, B&N and Amazon are uploaded on Mondays and should be available on Tuesday of each week.
