Can you use DAP 33 window glazing?

When can I paint my DAP 33 window glazing?
DAP ’33’ Window Glazing must be painted after it has skinned over and attained a firm set. Firm set is typically demonstrated when a light finger touch to the surface does not leave a fingerprint. Firm set may occur in as little as 7 days after application, but more likely 2-3 weeks after application.
Can plumbers putty be used for window glazing?
Plumbers putty does not set up rock hard like glazing. A drain is going to expand and contract every time it is exposed to hot and/or cold water and glazing would crack. Also glazing would not have the properties PP has that allows you to wipe away excess etc.
