Is IGETC required for UC?
IGETC is not an admission requirement. Completing it does not guarantee admission to the campus or program of choice.
Is IGETC or CSU better?
Compared to IGETC, CSU G.E./Breadth is more flexible and offers more choices in many of the areas. Students transferring to most CSUs can double count their Social Science or Humanities and American Institutions if using the pattern. IGETC does not allow this.
Can I transfer without IGETC?

Can I transfer to UCLA without IGETC?
Students can use the summer prior to transferring to finish remaining courses for IGETC, but these courses can’t be used to meet transfer admission requirements. Know that UCLA doesn’t pre-evaluate course transferability prior to submission of an application.

Can I get into UCLA with a 3.2 GPA?
Is your high school GPA good enough for UCLA? The average high school GPA for admitted students at UCLA is 3.89 on a 4.0 scale. This is a very competitive GPA, and UCLA is clearly accepting students at the top of their high school class.
Is it easy to transfer from UC to UC?
It is possible to transfer from one UC campus to another but the requirements can be difficult to decipher since you must complete the major prerequisites for the destination UC, not your current UC, in order to be competitive for admission consideration. Berkeley generally discourages intercampus transfer.
